Game Instructions

Arriving at the Arena

When you arrive at the Arena you will first be required to complete your registration at the front desk. Please remember to bring some form of ID. You will be required to sign the fire safety form and your insurance waiver. You may have lots of questions about the games, the equipment and how it all works. The friendly recruits in the DMZ Stores are here to supply you with equipment, supplies and some useful game tips to help you make the most of the action.

Once the fire & health and safety stuff is out the way one of our DMZ crew will read out the mandatory SAFETY BRIEFING, please listen quietly as it is a legal requirement.

You can now take part in the games as players.

You will now be split into two teams and supplied with armbands, safety masks and be introduced to your guns and equipment. There may follow some quick demos so everyone know what to expect and how to play safe.

Depending on the type of game play you will now be given individual or team game briefings.

You will be given time to load your gun mags with BB's

Finally you will be lead to game start points ready to start your mission.

Guns

The guns used in Airsoft are extremely realistic. It is extremely important that you treat the equipment with respect and act responsibly. You are not allowed to buy the guns in the UK unless you are a member of a registered skirmish club. The guns must not be on display in a public place and must be properly covered when carried outside.

Arena Airsoft is very close to public shopping areas and you must be especially vigilant not to display any weapons. If you are bringing your own weapons you must keep them in a suitable bag until you are inside the arena. Any player found to have breached this rule will receive a written warning or possibly a ban.

All guns brought into the arena will be chronographed on every visit and a written record will be kept. This is a requirement of our insurance. Please help us by being proactive and making sure your weapon is properly chronographed and recorded after the safety briefing.

Before Leaving the Arena.

Players will be required to hand in all their equipment and ensure it is signed for. If you have played a campaign night you will be given chance to collect a printed character card. Finally please sign out so that we know their are no KIA's left in the arena. The bodies tend to scare the cleaner!

Remember to collect all your personal belongings and make sure any of your own equipment or guns are suitably covered.

Safe and responsible gameplay means you can keep coming back for more!

What to wear?

We advise you to wear long sleeved tops and trousers, ideally old clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. In the high tensions of the game it is not unlikely that you will find yourself crawling to find cover or scrambling on your hands and knees to get to an access tunnel or hiding place.

Some players choose to wear gloves, hats, knee and elbow pads. All players must wear eye protection. Full face masks are issued as part of your booking.

You are advised to wear flat shoes, trainers or boots, as Arena Airsoft can be a very active sport and you may wish to run around!

If you decide to set up your own 'fire team' then you may wish to all wear similar uniform but please don't restrict yourselves to military attire. It would be great to see a team of 'Agent Smiths' or even Storm Troopers!! Let's see some imagination people!

Warning: This is not a game for the faint hearted, and yes the bb's sting when you get hit!
(Bring your boss anyone?)

Full face masks provided. Equipment available for hire with pre-bookings.
Refreshments and toilet facilities on site, disabled access also available.

Under 18’s

Due to the nature of Airsoft and Arena Airsoft games We have number of safety rules in place to protect Under 18s.

  • Our Minimum player age is 11.
  • Under 18’s must always wear a full face mask.
  • Under 18’s may not use pyrotechnics.
  • Any person Under 18 must have a legal parent or guardian attend the venue and sign a insurance form for them.
The Under 18 person will also have to counter sign the form.
  • We split our games into Under 16’s and Over 16’s. A parent/guardian that is playing in an over 16 event, may take their child with them into a game on the understanding of the additional risks involved.

Games

At Arena Airsoft we offer you a variety of games that vary in style, intensity and involvement.

For casual players wishing to try us out we suggest attending the Arena Games Nights, where we offer players the chance to try a variety of different types of games, but without the additional player commitment required as part of the Campaign Games.

For Existing players we recommend the Pro night as this has a higher fps limit. Although our games are less about the FPS and more about the experience!

For the full experience we recommend the Campaign Events.

Arena Games Night

On an Arena Games night we will run team based objective games and team challenge games. These include capture the flag, assault and defend scenarios and time based trials. There will be use of standard respawn points, medic and regen points but these will be determined by the referees and game scenario conditions.

The Arena Airsoft Campaign Night

On the Arena Games Night we offer our full experience. We will run themed games that follow a continuous timeline that is effected by player action and game outcomes. Games will make use of the full Arena Airsoft Rules System and players will have the opportunity to develop, earn awards and use special skills that aid gameplay.

We will issue character records so players can keep a track of development. At the end of the year we will hold an award ceremony and also create a Hall of Fame to retain a record of achievements.

Players completing achievements may earn medals and special bonus's.

Arena Pro Night

Pro night is designed for existing players of airsoft. The night will be similar to Games night but the event is over 16's and has a higher FPS limit to allow more players to use their own equipment.

On an Arena Pro night we will run team based objective games and team challenge games. These include capture the flag, assault and defend scenarios and time based trials. There will be use of standard respawn points, medic and regen points but these will be determined by the referees and game scenario conditions.

Members Only Range Night

Regular players usually like nothing better then chance to show off their equipment and chat about games, tech tips and make sure that their weapons are sighted, cleaned and ready for action. To Fully paid up members we offer an exclusive regular club night. We will not run games but, will set up the venue as a practice range giving you the opportunity to hone your skills without usual worries that target practice in your own back garden can bring! Police helicopter anyone?

Team Work

Arena Airsoft Games are all about team work. Scenarios and missions can only usually be achieved if you work together as a team.

As games are team based, then unless you are part of a Fireteam, you will have to join one of the house teams. Points scored for house teams are recorded and there will be an award ceremony at the end of the year for the winning house team.

The house teams are also part of the Arena Campaign and who you decide to play for, will effect the overall campaign storyline.

Additionally players may wish to set up their own Fireteam. Again, Fireteams will be incorporated into the campaign storyline and will be able to directly effect game outcome.

To set up an official Fireteam you must register 10 different players and supply us with a jpeg of your team badge/icon/logo. For your team to be counted as present you must field at least 5 players from your team in any scenario.

Please see campaign rules for how this can effect play and mission set up.

Campaign Rules Teams

In The Wyldelands survival in numbers is still not guaranteed but usually offers the first step to hope and possible escape. Players will usually work as part of one of the house Teams.

The house teams are established Fireteams that have been operating in the Wyldelands for long enough to establish command centres and limited facilities.

House teams may, as part of game scenarios, be hired by corporate, government, cult or other organisations to complete strategic missions. House teams may also take part in scenarios to assist their own team development.

House teams will ensure players are equipped and will provide all in game finance to enable effective working and operation. Playing as part of a house team is the simplest and easiest way to effective team play.

Players wishing more control, glory and honour may wish to set up their own team. However as an independent fire team you will not have any of the support or resources of the house teams. You will be on your own.

Independent Fireteams will enter the campaign with limited resources in terms of ammo and equipment. However when such a fire team completes a mission they will be awarded credits which may be spent on in game equipment and supplies. The rewards are higher but so are the costs!

Independent Fireteams will be entered onto the hall of fame and can work towards playing specific mission objectives that will aid their own fire team rather than the greedy corporations or corrupt organisations that interfere in the workings of the Wyldelands.
