Rules
Arena Campaign Rulebook...
Welcome to the Arena Campaign Game Rules Section. If it looks complicated then don't worry, you don't have to learn all of this stuff and we won't be using all of it, all of the time!
Our friendly referees will be on hand to explain everything. Most of the time we will be using a trimmed down version of the rules.
Please Note: Most of our regular gaming sessions are not tailored to the campaign, this is here as a reference to regular players and role players who attend campaign evenings and events
The rules below are for the Campaign based days only. For those of you used to many computer and role-play games the full on geeky rules bit will be a breeze!
Please absorb and inwardly digest. Help those less knowledgeable. And if it's really your thing them please join the club and get involved in the games development!
Combat System
Designed to be deadly quick and dynamic. If you are hit by a bb on any part of your body, feet hands, head, arms or legs you are tagged. Once tagged you must immediately shout hit and raise your hand, move to a safe distance out of the line of fire and count 60 seconds. (This time and process may change depending on the game-type) After this time return to your RESPAWN point.
Respawn Points
Only one player may re-spawn at once.
When tagged and to use a re-spawn point you must move so that you are physically in contact with the device. Once in contact begin counting to 60. When you reach 60 you may return to the game.
A game scenario background will determine if any team has access to re-spawn points and the location. Usually a game will have automatic re-spawns for the first 50% or its duration. Automatic re-spawns are Respawn 60. Players may add to this time and shorten the time it takes to respawn with the tech skill Respawn 60/40/20.
A re-spawn point can be destroyed by ordinance and an apposing team tech with a Respawn skill equal to its re-spawn Value. The tech must remain in contact with the re-spawn point and count to 60 to turn off the other teams re-spawn point.
The Re-Spawn 60/40/20 Skill
You must learn the skills in the order 60 > 40 > 20. The number refers to the number of seconds it takes for you to re-spawn. When a tech works on a re-spawn point they have a number of options. Either repair a broken one to Respawn 60 or Extend the life of the existing Respawn by 5 minutes or reduce the respawn time to 40 seconds or 20 seconds depending on the skill level of the tech.
A tech may only do 1 of these tasks. To do more than 1 requires additional techs to work together. Any activity takes a 60 second count.
The Medic 30/20/10
You must learn the skills in the order 30 > 20 > 10. The number refers to the number of seconds it takes for you to use your medic skill on another player and allow them to rejoin the game.
To use the skill you must be in possession of a medi-bag and be in physical contact with the person. A game scenario may limit the number of times that you may use you skill within that game.
You may only use your skill on one person at once.
The Regen Point
The game scenario may determine that there are existing regen points. These will usually be regen 60's. Additionally a player with the skill may set up a regen point using the appropriate equipment.
Note you must have a regen device to use this skill. To set up a regen point the light must be turned on and the player stay in contact wth it for 60 seconds. To use a regen point a player must be placed so that any part of their body is in the light.
After the appropriate amount of time the player is healed.
The Regen 60/40/20 Skill
You must learn the skills in the order 60 > 40 > 20. The number refers to the number of seconds it takes for the regen point to untag another player.
A regen point can be destroyed by ordinance and an apposing team tech with a Regen skill equal to its regen Value. The tech must remain in contact with the regen point and count to 60 to turn it off.
A regen point will last for 5 minutes or until destroyed. A group of regen techs can work together to extend the duration that a regen work. For every extra tech with a regen skill a regen point will last for an extra 5 minutes.
